Graduation '15

On Wednesday 23rd September, my other half, James, graduated his with First Class Honours at a Masters Level in Civil and Coastal engineering.

On Thursday 24th September I graduated with a Professional Certificate in Education (PGCE) so I can officially teach.

It was such a beautiful two days, making me realize just how much I love and miss Plymouth!
Gosh the gowns are itchy though!

The Kent countryside.

This summer has been all about exploring the local area and getting to know Kent a little better.
This country park was on of those beautiful places we stumbled on...
The weather was hot, the scenery was beautiful and the cafe was gorgeous!

Brockhill Country Park is about half an hour from our house - what a little gem is it!
A day out in the country was a perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Do you have anywhere to visit near you?

Last Saturday, I had my very first tattoo.

The past year has been the toughest.
At times, I really felt like I had no-one to turn too and I was alone, so I'd walk to the sea and sit there by myself. It was only thing that could calm me down, I feel so at peace by the sea, so calm.

With moving from Plymouth to Kent, I can feel my stress levels rising. I've left everything that was familiar and comfortable.
This tattoo reminds me of that inner peace, that pure bliss that comes from the sea; but also, that there is more so much more that just the here and now. There is always hope, always a chance to strart again and find happiness.

Do you have tattoo's?
What do they mean?

OOTD | Last of the summer sun

Hello blog world, anyone out there?
I've missed you.

|| Top: Miss Selfridge | Necklace: Dorothy Perkins | Dress: H&M | Shoes: Primark ||

This has been one of my favourite outfits this summer and this was the last day I felt I'll be able to enjoy the British Summer.
This Miss Selfridge top looks super cute over lots of my casual dresses and these £4 bargain primark sandals have done me well.

Living in Kent, there are lots of stunning little countryside places right on our doorstep (quite literally) so expect a few beautiful countryside posts!
I am, however, missing Devon a lot.
Hopefully i'll settle a little more soon.
Watch this space!
