Graduation '15

On Wednesday 23rd September, my other half, James, graduated his with First Class Honours at a Masters Level in Civil and Coastal engineering.

On Thursday 24th September I graduated with a Professional Certificate in Education (PGCE) so I can officially teach.

It was such a beautiful two days, making me realize just how much I love and miss Plymouth!
Gosh the gowns are itchy though!

The Kent countryside.

This summer has been all about exploring the local area and getting to know Kent a little better.
This country park was on of those beautiful places we stumbled on...
The weather was hot, the scenery was beautiful and the cafe was gorgeous!

Brockhill Country Park is about half an hour from our house - what a little gem is it!
A day out in the country was a perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Do you have anywhere to visit near you?

Last Saturday, I had my very first tattoo.

The past year has been the toughest.
At times, I really felt like I had no-one to turn too and I was alone, so I'd walk to the sea and sit there by myself. It was only thing that could calm me down, I feel so at peace by the sea, so calm.

With moving from Plymouth to Kent, I can feel my stress levels rising. I've left everything that was familiar and comfortable.
This tattoo reminds me of that inner peace, that pure bliss that comes from the sea; but also, that there is more so much more that just the here and now. There is always hope, always a chance to strart again and find happiness.

Do you have tattoo's?
What do they mean?

OOTD | Last of the summer sun

Hello blog world, anyone out there?
I've missed you.

|| Top: Miss Selfridge | Necklace: Dorothy Perkins | Dress: H&M | Shoes: Primark ||

This has been one of my favourite outfits this summer and this was the last day I felt I'll be able to enjoy the British Summer.
This Miss Selfridge top looks super cute over lots of my casual dresses and these £4 bargain primark sandals have done me well.

Living in Kent, there are lots of stunning little countryside places right on our doorstep (quite literally) so expect a few beautiful countryside posts!
I am, however, missing Devon a lot.
Hopefully i'll settle a little more soon.
Watch this space!

Moving anymore up North
Me and James visited Newquay yesterday; it's so lovely!
The weather was beautiful, I am loving this sun so much...
Spring is here!

A life update.

What a week!

I've been on a Year 6 residential.
It was certainly.... an experience?
Despite having 15 hours sleep over four days (yes, really), I absolutely loved the experience.
I went rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking and formed amazing relationships with my Year 6 team... Hey, turns out Year 6 kids aren't as scary as I thought, they're actually quite lovely.

I drove alone on the motorway for the first time.
I only passed my test in September, motorways are scary.
I drove 6 hours to Kent, and then 6 hours back the next day. (On 15 hours sleep)....

I saw Stone Henge,
Through my car window, but hey, I drove past it.
That counts, right?
I drove past it on the way to a...

I drove to Kent for a teaching interview.
My first teacher position. I got it!

Gosh, when did I become such an adult?

Company Focus | The Sticky Co.

You know, high street shopping is great, sure.
But sometimes, I just find it frustrating when everyone is wearing the same thing.
& that's where to Sticky Co comes in!
There's been a big push towards supporting independent brands, and I can't think of any brand better.
The company is run by two friends of mine, dipping their toes into the water of selling clothing, and they're items are lush!

Check out this plain white crew neck tee,
It'd look just perfect with my levi's or even that patterned skirt I cant quite find anything else to go with.

There's a lot of new and exciting things coming your way from these guys,
So be sure to check out their social media links below! (Their instagram is awesome!)

Nikon D3200 Review

So this is The Camera.
I'm already in love!
However, I needed my DSLR to take pictures of my DSLR, bit of a catch!

I've been craving a DSLR for years, but funds have never allowed it.
So this christmas, everyone put in a little bit of money to contribute.

Camera shopping was not easy... is it ever?
But after I did a lot of research, this is what I settled on.
A Nikon D3200.

You can find all the specs here

I needed something easy to use, a beginner DSLR, if you will.
This ticks all the boxes.
With pre-set settings, including Macro, Portrait and Landscape, it's easy to get the perfect picture with a simple click.

I do plan on increasing my camera knowledge, experimenting with different lenses and having a look through all the intricate settings.

I can't recommend this camera enough. I don't know all that much about shutter speed, light intake or things like that. But I know I can get great pictures with ease and I fall in love with them over and over!

I'll leave you with a few sample photographs to have a look at...

OOTD | Hello Stranger.

|| Skirt: Misguided | Jumper: H&M | Jacket & Shoes: TOPSHOP ||

Well, it's been a while.
I'm a pretty absent blogger at the minute!
I just cant seem to keep up with blogging and my PGCE - there is just so much to do!
I miss blogging so much, so it is a new years resolution to post at least once a week! :)

I love this skirt.
The colour is just gorgeous, and I feel like I can dress it up or down!

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas :)
