My Filofax Find.

I adore my Malden Filofax,
But I am a sort of one filofax girl if i'm honest.
But I recently found this little beauty in a charity shop in Plymouth.
The front of the popper button is missing and the leather is getting a little brittle, but nothing some lovely cream won't fix.
The colour is just stunning,
I am so in love.
I don't know how old it is, but I know it's old, the inserts are dated back to 1985!!
So here's where I need some help.
Can you help identify this beauty?
Ally expressed it may be a Cavendish, but I can't tell if the pictures match up?
Any ideas?

Review | Tangle Teaser

| Tangle Teaser: Boots, £12.95 | & my lovely hair stuck in it!

As a result of stress, my hair's been falling out in little clumps.
Its pretty terrifying but it's hopefully begun slowing down now...
Thing is, I didn't want to make my situation any worse.
So I threw in my pound land brush and upgraded to a much loved, much raved about tangle teaser.
I've seen hundreds of bloggers rave abut them, and I can certainly see why. I LOVE IT.
Its so gentle on my hair, I love the colour and shape, and it de-tangles my hair pain free.
I love the blue glittery one, but I have a wonderful habbit of loosing things and this vibrant colour means its much easier to find.
MUCH less hair falls out.
And its pretty portable to!
My only criticism is sometimes its TO gentle,
Down here on the coast, the wind is crazy ad I get some serious knots that it can't tackle at all,
But its nothing some serious brushing can't fix.

Over all, it's the best product i've brought for my hair recently!! :)
Do you own one?

I've had A LOT of trouble with eBay recently.
I'm completely finished with it.
& my little blog doesn't quite reach to enough people and I never actually sell anything!
So i've created my own little facebook page where I can sell my items...
Take a look here:

I do post, so let me know :)

OOTD | Tartan

|Dress: Safi | Socks: Topshop | Jumper: Topshop | Biker: H&M | Shoes: New Look |

We took this in the dark, which I'm not keen on.
It's getting dark WAY to quickly and I really hate the dark :(
I love love love love tartan.
I could wear it every day and night.
I loved it in the 90's, and I loved last year, and I love it now.
This dress is sooo lovely,
Cost me £15.00 from a little independent shop here in Plymouth, called SAFI.
I'm thinking of wearing it with clear tights and some biker boots for a gig i'm going to.
I think it would look gorgeous with a bowler, but I'm unsure if I'm pretty enough to pull them off!

Book Review | Time Of My Life.

"Are you taking your life for granted?
Lucy Silchester is. She’s busied herself with other stuff: friends’ lives, work issues, her deteriorating car, that kind of thing. But she’s stuck in a rut – and deluding everyone. Only Lucy knows the real truth.
Time for a wake-up call – a meeting with life. And life turns out to be a kindly, rather run-down man in an old suit, who is determined to bring about change – and won’t let Lucy off the hook.
Sometimes we all need to make time for our life…"

I used to read book after book as a child, you couldn't stop me.
Now I really struggle to get into a book,
I picked this up from a charity in Looe shop 9 months ago,
Read a chapter or two, put it down and forgot about it!
Then, I picked it back up a few weeks ago and then I just couldn't put it down!
I finished it in a few days and its the best read i've picked up in a long time.
(and almost the only one!)

It's basically about a Lady who gets an intervention about her life, by her life.
Seems a little far-fetched but it really works.
Think on the lines of Nanny McPhee, but a love story (but not with her life).
It's really brilliant - not what I expected - but brilliant.

Lucy has created a web of lies which life runs upon,
It takes a very big intervention to make her realise just what it is she needs to do to change her life around.
But its a happy ending which is always a winner.

I don't want to give to much away!
But I DEFINITELY recommend it :D

Music Monday #10

So, the oh so beautiful 30 Seconds to Mars toured Plymouth Thursday, will the beautiful You Me At Six supporting them doing so.

I am greatly obsessed with both bands!

But whilst I was in hospital Friday having an operation, by best friends MET You Me @ Six in NANDO's.
I should have been there.
Gutted doesn't even come close!!

So here, is my favourite YM@6 song as my music monday!

Noah & The Whale and Vampire Weekend

Ahhhh this made me so happy.
I'm super obsessed with Noah & The Whale, and I love Vampire Weekend,
So seeing them BOTH!?
I almost cried when Noah came on stage (Yes, I'm that sad ;))
It was a bit difficult getting there, our bus drove us about a 25 minute walk away from the venue, but we wanted to walk it as a cab would have cost a fortune. We found it in the end, not to say it wasn't a little scary walking through Birmingham so late on he way home!

Definitely worth it.

I recorded 5 Years Time & Diane Young, take a listen?

Expressing a Talent.

So, this definitely isn't my normal type of post.
& I'm unsure if it'll appeal to you directly...
But when you're proud of someone, you should express it.

My Dad is incredibly artistic, he has a natural talent that leaves many to be desired.
The reccessions hit hard & my dad's decided to open his own business painting and sharing his beautiful pieces.
He has a wonderful little gallery in a shop in our hometown of Walsall,
But he also takes commission pieces and can post to!

He specialising in Sci-Fi pictures, so anything Marvell, Doctor Who, or Alien-y.
But he also does amazing pet portraits to!

I think its a wonderful idea for Christmas presents, and I'm sure he'd love it if you could take a little look at his facebook page:
If you like what you see, give it a little like for more to come!

OOTD | Tartan Cardigan

 | Dress: Vintage | Cardigan: Vintage | Hat: Primark | Necklace: Dorothy Perkins |

I rought this dress off of eBay as a vintage item, I wore it for a day and its much to short so now I'll be selling it on.
Its a beautiful versatile piece though, I'm pretty sad about it.
Damn me being taller! Haha.
This is the second time I've featured this cardigan but I just adore it so much!!
Been trying out some darker lipsticks but I'm still a little unsure.
What do you think?

OOTD | Skater Girl.

| Hat: Primark | Dress; Topshop | Necklace: Dorothy Perkins | Socks: Topshop|

This dress gets worn a ridiculous amount over the winter period, I adore it in every single way.
Its so easy to wear and you can turn it into any sort of style, grunge preppy, whatever your feeling! :)
I'm unsure if I like this beanie or not, very skater girl oui?

Florence and the Machine - Shake It Out

Do you when you just have itunes on in the background, and you're sort of listening/not listening?
Whenever this song comes on, I have to stuff what I'm doing, and belt this song out dancing like a crazy lady...
The lyrics hit home a lot and lets face it, she's soooo amazing!!
I loveeeee her so much!

Welcome to Plymouth!

James' Nan and Grandad ever so kindly visited us a few weeks ago,
They more then enjoyed their time here, and they washed up for us all week! Hehe.
I was working and at University each day, but we spent our free time pottering around the beautiful Plymouth Barbican and finding this gorgeous little cafe. I wanted to live in it! Much to cute.

We had tea and cake, one of my favourite things to do!
I had apple crumble, to be honest the custard was just lovely. Haha.

Its hard being a hostess though!
I'm exhausted! :)

OOTD | Christmas Green

| Blouse: New Look | Necklace: New Look | Boots: Diechman | Skirt: Topshop | Socks: Topshop | Biker Jacket: H&M | Bag: Accessorize |

Do you how everyone has that one fashion thing they can't seem to stand?
Well I have two, one being knee high boots (sorry!) and on being plain sheer blouses.
So why, is this year different?
I don't know.
But I love this blouse and want to wear it every single day.
I was originally drawn to the colour, isn't it gorgeous?
And from new look, its a bit of a bargain blouse to!

This bag seems to have featured on all my posts recently, this is because it's my university bag and I'm at university Monday to Friday, then on the weekend I work so don't wear nice clothes! Pahaha.

Will definitely be wearing this blouse a lot this winter!

Walk The Moon - Anna Sun

I've had this song on my itunes for about two years now,
It started to become big this spring but never made it as big as I think it deservess.
I think i'll always love this song, such a happy tune!

My Halloween

I like cats.
A bit to much.

& I don't think I could be intimidating if i tried!
It was all very last minute, so I decided to run to primark, grab a pair of pearly cat ears and wack out the kohl! :)

We couldn't get a pumpkin so we brought these cute little biscuits - although the day after they had some in sainsburies (odd) so I grabbed one.
Whats Halloween without a pumpkin?
I made a vampire cat! Of course! :)

I saw some amazing costumes, and hopefully next year i'll make a much better costume!
