Review | Dainty Doll Blusher

Dainty Doll by Nicola Roberts is a discontinued make-up line created specifically for people with paler skin tones. Hence me!
I tried a few items and was pretty hooked, I've never found make-up that compliments my skin so much.
I brought one blusher but that just wasn't enough, so I brought a few more here.
They're all absolutely beautiful!
The swatch hasn't come out great and i'll try and update it soon, but the colours are all lovely.

Thoughtful Thursday | Rain and Rainbows

I brought this card from Paperchase and scanned it in,
I'm afraid it's a bit of a more depressing post today...
I absolutely love the quote on it, I think its beautiful. I know you've probably heard it a million times before, but it really got me thinking.

2013 has been a really rough year for me so far, with death, my anxiety spiking, health problems, arguments of the worst kind, people being very horrid to me and life really testing me, and now a new plot twist which I can't quite discuss yet.
I actually seriously sat down and considered dropping out of University because life was making me so ill and it just seemed to be adding even more stress onto me.
(I'm passed the phase now).

I'm waiting to get my rainbow from these thunderstorms of rain at the minute,
but even after it all i'm optimistic, I really think that there are good things coming.
I think that 2013 will still have many beautiful things to offer yet..
I'm really hopeful that I can turn this year around and make it into something beautiful, and I feel as though its starting already.
and hope is a good place to start right?

Outfit Post | Vintage Paisly

So, with a recent vintage fair in Plymouth Town Center, I picked up this super beautiful vintage skirt, the print is just so gorgeous.
Despite it being quite Autumn-y I wore it out in the sunshine and love it none the less, I also picked up this beautiful brown bag with a crocodile on it! I love vintage bags and I love this one so much :)
I'm unsure about the black collar, but I thought it complimented the skirt, what do you guys think?

Nail Post | Pastel Rainbow

So, being pretty bored one evening, I decided to ombre my nails.
You can see how I did this in a previous post HERE.
This time I just added more and more colours!

I used Barry M in Peach MelbaLemon Ice-cream, I then used a freebie nail varnish called Hello Petal in Lovely Lavender combined with my newest make-up academy shade in Pistachio Ice-Cream.
It really doesn't matter to much if the varnish is cheap or expensive, it all builds up pretty well (:

I coated a feature nail in Barry M clear glitter polish and added a little Barry M confetti to the end of my thumb, it kinda looks like ice-cream!!

So what do you guys think?

Outfit Post | Sheepish

||Jumper: Thrifted || Bracelet :Dotty P's|| Shorts: Miss Selfridge || Necklace: New Look || Creepers: New Look ||

I picked up this jumper from a carboot a few weeks ago, I was in two minds whether to pick it up as it was expensive (well, it was for a carboot stall anyway) but after going all the way round I returned to the stall just knowing that I had to have it, we've all had that feeling right girls?
So after getting it home and playing around with looks, I realised how much I super duper loved it!
Because it's so baggy I team t up with my classic Miss Selfridge lace shorts to make my bottom half slimmer - remember baggy tops means tight bottoms ;)

It was raining at the time, hence the squinty faces hahahaha! The last picture is to demonstrate how much fun I actually have when snapping these shoots, we mess and around and for me blogging is one of the best hobbies I could have started up!
And I am also human !

Looking down from above.

I had some other stuff planned for today, but this just couldn't wait.

As some of my older readers are aware, I lost my Nan around a month ago.
It hit me incredibly hard as I'm close to all of my grandparents and I miss her every single day.
My Nan was never really into plants or gardening, but she absolutely adored the flower violets.
Not just any violets mind, sweet voilets, the rarest and most fragile of voilets, near impossible to find in my hometown. My Dad tried to find one for my Nan's birthday a few years ago and was unsuccessful.

On the other side of this story, I was given a plant at the beginning of University, almost two years ago.
Tigger ate the plant that was originally in the pot, (i cried by this, saddo) and this new beanstalk plant as I call it, grew in its place (My plant is called Ursulla by the way).

I woke up to water Ursulla this morning, whilst on the phone to my Dad, I noticed a small unusual flower in the pot. It was very pretty and I presumed it was just a little weed. I sent my Dad a picture anyway to show him my mysterious plant growing skills.

Only for him to tell me this beautiful little flower is a Violet, not just any Violet. A Sweet Violet.

I've never, ever seen a Violet in real life before, I haven't been near an garden centers and the plant is inside away from fresh pollen. Yet out of millions of flowers, this ONE managed to find its way to my little plant pot.

I never got to say goodbye to my Nan, I hadn't seen her for a while because I live so far away. I always felt so guilty and upset by this. But now I know its okay.

I'm actually crying from the beauty of it all, and I thought i'd share it with you guys.

Out Post | Casual Monday

|| Hoodie: Topshop || Skirt: Topshop || Tee: Zara || Shoes: Vans ||

I don't really ever dress casually, I always dress quite fancy either with my blouses or skirts.
So hoody's for me are never really in the question, but I found this bargain in the Topshop sale and actually its great! I love being warm and comfortable and I don;t think it looks as horrendous as I thought it would on me!
My Mum & Dad's dog Lady decided to join in on the photo taking to, what a sweetie.
I guess its important to have casual days to show there are two sides to fashion bloggers to!

Review | Edute Nail Polish

I recently purchased this Etude House polish in Lemon Sorbet from eBay here.

To be honest, I was drawn by the packaging, isn't it beautiful?
& for £3 you can't really complain....
It took two weeks to come through as its from China but it's worth the wait!
The consistency is perfect for me, I've demonstrated two coats here & it dried lovely and quick. It's not gloppy and spreads like quite an expensive brand.
The little 'bits' are subtle enough so that I don't feel like an explosion in a confetti factory, but you can still see that they're their.

The downfall for me, is the lasting of it. I painted them on the train to Exeter and by the end of day they were already chipped and not looking so great!
I really wasn't doing anything strenuous and pretty gutted - when I get bored I have a tendency to pick nail varnish and this is super easy to flake off.
Perhaps with a base and top coat it would last much longer?

All in all I love this polish, I think its a great cheap buy and looks great when I wack it out!

Have you tried any other Etude House products? I'd like some recommendations!

Review | Bella Vita Jewellery*

Even though this item was gifted to me, all views and opinions stated are my own.

I was recently given the opportunity to review Bella Vita, link HERE.
The website is absolutely adorable - easy to navigate with a beautiful background and layout.
You can see a lot of time, thought and effort has gone into it - and I think the house style represents the company really well to.

Isn't the packaging just beautiful to?
I was really taken a back actually, not many companies go to this effort to make something look so beautiful anymore - and this also means that it'd be perfect to order as a present or gift for somebody special.
The beautiful little card represents the company and therefore it's always in the forefront of your mind!

I love elephants, just as much as I love ducks.
This necklace is absolutely stunning! I was SO happy with it when it arrived.
The chain is a super nice legnth and it all feels sturdy and well crafted, not like its going to snap any second.
The antiqued silver look gives the fashionable vintage look that's so popular at the minute.
The tag on the necklace is so pretty and makes me assured that I would be comfortable gifting this to someone.
At £4.50 its a bargain!

Ordinarily, I would team this necklace up with a real boho look, interpreting the elephant into the theme of the outfit.
But here, I just wanted to make the necklace the feature of this outfit, it was just the perfect necklace to draw in my look and break up the cream of my cami.
You can find Bella Vita on all of these platforms!

Review | Deborah Milano*

Although this product was gifted to me, all views and opinions are that of my own.

I was recently contacted by Deborah Milano cosmetics, a luxurious Italian cosmetic company who want to bring their products to the UK.
They asked if i wanted to test out one of their lipsticks and share them with you!
Originating in 1903, they sure know a thing or two about make-up!

All the names of the products are in Italian which gives them an exciting luxury feel before I've even ordered!
I was gifted IL Rossetto Lipstick, which you can find HERE, it retails for £5.90 and is the cheapest within the lipstick range.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to choose a shade or lipstick that came through - and I don't normally do lipsticks that are on the red spectrum. But actually, I'm kind of happy about this as I've tried something completely new and I actually liked it. Sometimes you need some help delving into new territory!

The packaging isn't anything ridiculously fancy - but the red coloring of it gives it quite a deep expensive feel and it feels quite nice in your hands.
Its branded with the companies logo so you're instantly drawn back to them!

The pigment of the lipstick was incredibly vibrant from just one simple swipe on my wrist!
The website describes the lipstick as;
Soft, creamy lipstick enriched with Vitamins A, C and E. Leaves the lips dazzlingly shiny and perfectly moisturized. With UVA and UVB filters.
I really love the fact that it has built in UV features, even though a lot of lipsticks do these days, its a great drawing point! It was incredibly creamy and has quite a heavy texture on your lips, it does make them look a lot healthier and more moisturized and I could feel this almost instantly.
The colour is beautiful and vibrant - no sort of wishy washy stuff you get with some cheaper lipsticks and I really loved that about the lipstick.
It blends across my lips really well and doesn't clump in parts.

My only criticism is that it doesn't last very long - I found myself topping it up on the hour!

Over all, the product has really grown on me, and for an evening or event lipstick, I think that this is an absolute winner.
I think that Deborah Milano will go far over the pond here in the UK and they've already got my sales!
And James liked it to!

What do you guys think of this colour?
Have you ever tried Deborah Milano before?

Check out there store HERE! They've got an epic sale on at the minute!
